Lesson 2 - Yo meets the Kiwi in New Zealand!

Step One

Let's draw Kiwi Bird.

1. Draw the head by first drawing the dotted lines of the small circle.
   

2. Draw the body by drawing the dotted lines of the big circle.
   
3. Body - The boy's body is basically a square shape, angled slightly to the left

Let's draw Yo!

1. Draw the dotted lines of the box (Yo's body).
   

2. Continue drawing the neck and the face.
   
3. Draw the dotted lines for the hair. Play close attention, as this is the most complex form.

Step Two

Kiwi Bird.

1. Now continue drawing the dots for Kiwi's legs - pay close attention to the small curves around the toes.

Continue drawing Yo.

1. Continue with the eyes, arms and feet of Yo. Be careful to follow the arcs smoothly. Avoid wiggly lines.

 Step Three

Now comes the time when you have to pay more attention to the details.

Kiwi Bird.

1. Finish the the eye, eyebrow, wing and claws of Kiwi Bird.

Continue drawing Yo.

1. Add one final detail on Yo. These are his fingers and the pupils of his eyes.

Step Four

Finish drawing Kiwi Bird.

1. This is the most delicate part of any drawing. In order to add texture to your drawing, you should very carefully close the dotted lines of the feathers of Kiwi Bird. (Try to do them like the example above).
   

2. Keep your hands loose and press as little as possible since the feathers are soft and gentle.

Finish drawing Yo.

1. Connect the dots for Yo with solid lines. Do not rush. Just follow the dotted lines.
