Step One

Let's draw the boy!

Boy - Head - Draw the head as a circle.

Body - Draw basic torso shape as a triangle.

Legs - Draw them as a general shape together.

Arms - Draw them simply as straight rectangles.

Let's draw the girl!

Girl - Head - Draw it as an oval tilted sideways.

Body - Draw as irregular shape using straight lines.

Skirt - Use straight lines at this stage.

Step Two

N.B. Before erasing the lines from Step One, make sure you have completed step two.
Boy - Define the shapes of the hair, cheeks, and eyes.  Pay attention to the curve line of the body which makes the boy appear more lively. Girl - Pay attention to the waves of her hair. You can exaggerate them. The girl's body also has a curve but it is a lot smaller.

 Step Three

N.B. Keep the lines from Step Two as guidelines.
Boy - Continue defining the shapes of the boy by following the curves.  Add more details on the face and clothes. Girl - Using the lines from Step Two, you can start adding some details . Try to keep your lines steady and consistent. Now you can erase you lines form Step Two.

Step Four

To finish up, make some of the lines a little thicker.  Add remaining clothing details. Shade the different parts as shown or use your own preferences.
