Celebrating Languages – Around the World and at Home
The last two weeks have been a whirlwind, complete with me making two presentations, one in Lansing at the Michigan World Language Association Conference and another in Indianapolis, for the Indiana Foreign Language Teacher’s Association.
Luckily, at the conferences, I had time to catch some dynamic presentations too.
The keynote speaker at the MIWLA, Dr. Andrew D. Cohen, made a very lively, humorous and informative presentation on different learning styles.

My presentation at the MIWLA and here I am standing with Tim at the Applause Learning Resources stand.
At the IFLTA, Molly Krueger Enz of Augsburg College and Jennifer Watland of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, presented: Multiplicity, Multiculturalism, Music: Demystifying the Francophone World Through Song. Molly and Jennifer’s presentation was very well done and included a 22 page handout! When I have the time to digest everything that was presented, I will try to include some of their ideas in upcoming newsletters.

A birds eye view of the luncheon and keynote speech at IFLTA and a Sunday stroll with Wil in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Needless to say, it was great to get to Niagara-on-the Lake for a long walk and some sunshine, between the conferences.
